Recorded: Cargo Studios, Rochdale (16 track) Produced by Bob Last
Mick had been in contact with Bob Last of Fast Records since before I joined, and it had long been planned that we would record for the label, and it was decided that “Earcom 2” was the perfect vehicle for us. We drove down to Rochdale and had an intense evening of recording that worked out well. Alan got upset at some of the ideas that Bob Last was coming up with, but we carried on regardless. It was hoped we could record a 3rd song called “TNG” (a loose jam, in reality) but time was against us.
The 12” single itself was release on October 8th, and sales were helped greatly as Joy Division had two unreleased tracks on the same release.
