Track 0296: DRESSING ROOM OF GLOOM (audio verite) 4:09 (BLITZKRIEG BOP) (9th February 1979)
voices: John Hodgson, Mickey Dunne, Graeme Moses, Alan Cornforth, Denise Liddell, unidentified female.
The Nashville gig proved to be the last recording of the band, despite Bop limping on into 1979 they had a blank January and managed only two in early February before imploding.
Their final gig at Van Mildert College in Durham was definitely recorded but is not in the archive, even stranger is the existence of an audio verite of a discussion in the dressing room after the gig that actually captured the moment when the band split.
The discussion centres around the fact that I had told the band that I had started rehearsing with another local band called Baszcax and intended to play for both bands.
I clearly wanted my cake as well as eating it, but the rest of the band were not happy and so just six days after this conversation I was taking the stage with Basczax, playing keyboards only as they already had a singer. So began a fresh chapter in my musical odyssey, forever onwards...
