Musicians: John Hodgson – lead vocals, Dimmer Blackwell – fuzz guitar, backing vocals, Ann Hodgson – guitar, backing vocals, Mick Hylton – bass guitar, backing vocals, Alan Cornforth – drums, backing vocals
Recorded: The Barn, Norton (room 2) 2 x reel-to-reel tape recorders (7 ½ ips) + Heathkit mixer (produced by Alan Cornforth)
To think that within weeks of recording this Stranglers track I would be stood at a Middlesbrough bar interviewing Hugh Cornwell for a magazine the band were producing shows how punk was breaking down the barriers between artist and fan.
It only lasted a short while, but there was a genuine feeling of “we're all in this together” and “us against the world”.
