Recorded: The Speedway Hotel, Middlesbrough (live performance) reel-to-reel tape recorder + Heathkit mixer
Taken from the first half “rock” set, this oddity was based around a lyric by Alan about the horrors of war and a funk riff that had been in my mind for years, it had appeared in various jams and instrumentals in various forms, and would continue to do so in the years to come.
Not typical of the bands other songs, but one of the better ones.
This is the last entry that features “Adamanta Chubb”, from now on the focus was on punk, and the band played their final gig under both names on the 29th May 1977, but before that they set up the recording equipment for a very different session...
