Recorded: St. Joseph's Church Hall Youth Club, Norton (live performance)
stereo reel-to-reel tape recorder (7 ½ ips)
And so we arrive at my performance debut, aged 19 years and 7 months, and I mess up the start. Just as the band start the riff I press down on my keyboard to add a discordant note to proceedings. After that I play block chords (opening riff: F/C/B flat/F) and get through the song without incident.
THINGS (NOT) TO LISTEN OUT FOR: The total lack of applause at the end. As this was the 3rd gig at St. Joseph's in as many months, word had got around that we were terrible, with an audience of about 15 people in the cavernous hall.
