Track 0059: EVERYTHING I OWN (Gates) 2:41 (PURITY) (1st December 1974)

Recorded: Roseberry Studios (site 1) mono cassette recorder
At the end of 1974 there was a Purity reunion of sorts when Mike and I covered this hit for Bread in 1972. A reggae version by Ken Booth entered the singles charts in September 1974, reaching number one.
This obviously inspired me to record it, and I was joined by Mike who had dropped in for a coffee. The contrast in performance is stark when put against Purity's very first songs frim1972, with a much more professional feel.
This song also marks the end of an era, the final track from 1974, and in January 1975 I joined my first “proper” band, Adamanta Chubb, and thus started an adventure in music that is still going on. Let the fun begin...
